The wedding of the year is fast approaching, so get inspired for your daughter’s wedding day with our top five mother of the bride outfit ideas.
1. Modern Lace
Feminine and forever in style, this blush-toned lace dress makes a considered choice for the mother of the bride. Team this ladylike piece with the co-ordinating lace jacket, cropped at the waist for the most figure-flattering fit. When it comes to the accessories, opt for tonal colours – we think this elegant fascinator and block-heeled sandals are the perfect finishing touches.
2. In Bloom
Florals always feel right for wedding season, and this bloom-covered beauty with lace detailing is certainly no exception. Match it with this chic long-line jacket in a soft blue-grey shade, slipping it off for the evening reception. Finish the look with a matching clutch bag and sandals, both in powder blue.
3. Petal Pink
Designed in soft pink with a floral lace band across the waist, this A-line midi dress offers a modern take on classic mother of the bride styling. Mirror its petal-hued palette with a co-ordinating crop jacket, adding the finishing touches with a floral-embellished clutch bag and heeled sandals with glistening jewels.
4. New Lengths
Mother of the bride dresses aren’t restricted to mid-length silhouettes. Falling just above the knees, this floral-embroidered mini dress in deep navy is a perfectly pretty option for the big day. Style it with a scalloped crop jacket, a feather fascinator and pointed court shoes, all in the same shade.
5. Elegant Embroidery
Embroidered with beautiful blooms, this figure-skimming style in delicate pink makes a modern choice for discerning mother of the brides. Pull out its soft ivory hues with a smart, structured cover-up, and finish the look with a nude-hued evening bag and matching heels.

What to Wear to a Winter Wedding
Thanks so much for your feedback. We wanted to let you know that the pieces this fashion feature are part of our main occasionwear collection and not solely aimed at the mother-of-the-bride. However, we will definitely take your comments on board for any future shoots taking place. Many thanks, Monsoon.
Oh dear Monsoon marketing department what were you thinking? Why on earth have you got young girls modelling Mother of the Bride outfits? Come on you can do better than that, or don’t you know the demographic of your loyal customer base….?
If you are promoting outfits for mother of the bride you should have used models who are old enough to be a mother of the bride! Shame on you.
It would be nice if the mother of the bride outfits were modled by women old enough to be mothers of an adult child.
Marketing clothing to women, who are at the very least mid 40’s in this way is offensive.
If this is the mother of the bride , how old is the bride! With all the gorgeous models in their middle age why use girls in their 20s for this shoot. Really aggravating
