Monsoon Garden Party: What the Bloggers Wore

As summer makes its long-awaited arrival, we decided to celebrate the start of the new season by hosting the very first Monsoon Garden Party. Set in the idyllic surrounds of Petersham Nurseries in Richmond-upon-Thames, south-west London, we invited some of our favourite fashion bloggers to spend the day with us, making non-alcoholic cocktails with Seedlip, enjoying our live painter, and talking all things event dressing. Before we take a sneak peek at what we got up to, here’s what some of our guests wore for the occasion…

Anisa

Red can be relied upon to make a statement at any event – and summer invites are no exception. Proving our point in a floor-sweeping style, Anisa, fashion and lifestyle blogger, brought a sense of glamour to the garden party dress code, toning the overall aesthetic down with a slick low ponytail.

Monikh

Didn’t think you could wear black for summer event season? Think again. Eschewing weightier fabrications for light, crisp linen, Monikh, stylist and fashion blogger, instantly reaffirmed the classic colour’s relevance in our warm-weather wardrobe. The unexpected addition of oxblood mules ensured this midi felt all the more modern.

Alice and Hannah

Showing us that florals are a forever favourite of summer events, fashion designers and bloggers Alice (left) and Hannah (right) from Belle & Bunty opted for bloom-strewn styles that blended in perfectly with their surroundings. When it came to the accessories, cat-eye sunglasses and tassel earrings were on-hand to lend a high-fashion finish.

Andrea

Making a case for lace, Andrea, blogger at The Haute Heel, dressed for the occasion in an ankle-grazing design that pulled the focus with its light lemon hue. A pair of red loafers and a boxy bag later, the clash-up was complete – and we couldn’t be more in love with it if we tried.
