Mimi Labesa’s Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Festive lunches, gift exchanges and glittering get-togethers: there’s plenty of reasons to get dressed up this Christmas.  Curated for December diary dates, fashion blogger Mimi Labesa shows us the key pieces that she’s picked out for the season ahead,  with luxe velvets, colour-block knits and sweeping midi lengths thrown into the fashion-forward mix.

1. The Velvet Suit

This look is the absolute dream for a trend-conscious working woman, especially if you’re going from desk to dinner this Christmas. I mean what’s not to love about velvet? I love the soft luxurious feel of it on my skin and how it reflects light in the most glorious way. I’m styling the matching jacket and trousers with an embroidered blouse, and finishing it off with a mock-croc bag and a pair of mules – it oozes confidence and sophistication.

2. The Statement Jumper

Winter doesn’t mean shying away from colour. For this look, I wore a bright striped jumper with a PU midi skirt in burgundy, allowing you to add a pop of colour into your winter wardrobe without looking too summery. The soft pink bag and black ankle boots made up the essential accessories.

3. The Midi Dress

For a chic yet down-to-earth bohemian look, I’m wearing a printed midi dress with a pair of slouchy leather boots. This dress is perfect for any occasion and can be layered with a knit or jacket depending on the weather – and your mood!
